How to get the yellow out of indoor pictures?
Is there a specific setting that I don't know about. I have an pretty old Nikon camera that does not do that all the time, but all of my newer one do. Any tricks to it. I know nothing about taking pictures beside pushing the button.

Yes, white balance. Before digital, tinted filters were used to make the colors look right under incandescent or fluorescent or other not sunlight conditions. These days, most digital cameras have multiple settings, or you can fix the color afterwards on your computer

You should find a setting for AWB or Auto White Balance. That way when you move from indoor incandescent to outdoors or under florescent lights the camera will automatically change to the proper setting.
99.9 % of the time that will do a better job than a manual setting for the happy snap cameras.

My favorite album art cover....not so hot an album.
I had a boat with that on the deck....yes, it was the "average white boat". On the yellow....sounds like some of the automatic settings have been fiddled with. Set everything to default, try again.....read the manual on the white settings it should have some suggestions.

Cool. will try that and report back, Thanks.
Steve, How do you do that on the computer? Is there a special program that will do that? I switch to a Mac and having a hard time with re-learning it because I don't monkey with it enough. I just have the simple I Photo. Any suggestions? |
