Hope this will work. You may end up finding trigger factors but I would not be surprised if you donīt. This may well be a "freak" episode.
Funny that she were prescribed the exact two derivatives of cortisone that I mentioned. Its a small world (in a medical context).
Good luck!

Umm, just another thought to throw into the pool of ideas. If she drinks milk, certain times of the year the cows are putting different hormones into the milk and this can cause allergies. We are getting a new milk which I think the parent company is in Aus and it's called A2 Fresha Valley - fresh A2 milk it doesn't have the A1 protien that a lot of people have a problem with. Just an idea.

Livi,

I would be very happy if it is a freak episode...and I know Charlotte would be too :).

I had a little smile when the doc 'prescribed' and thought of you ;)... you were spot on (as usual)...thanks again :).

Bill,

Thought about this too...(the milk and hormone thing). Funny, I notice it when making yoghurt. Certain times of the year the yoghurt just doesn't set as it should and it's all about the cows... No silly fangled yoghurt maker for me either. I make it the way my mother, her mother before her etc etc have always done. The old and simple way ;).

I'm not going to stop her eating anything in particular as she has a good diet and loves fresh food (vs fast food). But maybe we'll find a corrolation between something she eats and something she does at the same time so to speak. I understand what Livi is saying though...it's a very long shot that we'll ever find anything.

How did it go with your daughters rash, Lisa? Still a problem?

lisa_spyder 03-17-2011 11:46 AM

Livi,

Thanks for checking in...SmileWavy

Rapid response to the cream, lotion and suspension. Within 3 days you wouldn't know she had suffered any rash at all. She was SO happy not to have to resist the urge to scratch.

As for the trigger...I don't know. I suspect you are right - we may never know. At least if I keep the CelestoneM on hand we can get on top of anything as it starts.
