If Could Commit One Sin With Total Immunity...

If You Could Commit One Sin With Total Immunity...What Would It Be?

No criminal punishment and God gives you a Hall Pass for just one sin.

sammyg2 03-09-2011 10:30 AM

Can't say on the interwebs without the "authorities" taking an interest, but it would be for the good of man.

azasadny 03-09-2011 10:42 AM

Same here, can't post it on the Internet...

Taz's Master 03-09-2011 11:05 AM

What God do you pray to that won't forgive one sin?

I think I'd steal all the land within a 10 mile radius of my home.

wdfifteen 03-09-2011 11:50 AM

I'd steal one of these babies and drive it in public.

Blasphemy. Oh, wait. I already do that with total immunity. ;)

URY914 03-09-2011 12:02 PM

I'd take care of OJ.

I think you (we) would have to get up pretty early to get in the front of that line...

red-beard 03-09-2011 01:27 PM

Are we talking a class, or a single event...

fingpilot 03-09-2011 01:56 PM

Would be 'thy neighbors wife'.

I'd be returning the favor.

12own911 03-09-2011 02:48 PM

maybe :D

Porsche-O-Phile 03-09-2011 02:53 PM

It'd involve justice for a friend of mine who was killed about 20 years ago in a robbery. I'd welcome the opportunity. He was a great guy with a bright future.

masraum 03-09-2011 03:22 PM

Well, a couple of you have sort of good ideas. There is lots of injustice and evil in the world. If you try to imagine yourself as a super hero and then try to imagine yourself always doing the "right" thing like superman instead of "taking care of" the really bad people. I don't know about you, but it's hard to imagine myself not taking Justice into my own hands.

But, I don't think that's what I'd pick.

I guess, if I had to pick something, I'd steal all of the money from a drug cartel, keep some for myself, and then redistribute the rest to friends, family and charities.

John Rogers 03-09-2011 03:23 PM

You are assuming there is a God and a Heaven/Hell to worry about??!! I imagine this question might be a problem for some......

Rick V 03-09-2011 03:41 PM

My daughter was raped when she was 14, he gets out of prison in about another `18 years. Ask me again then. :D

Same here. Would not do a thing. I have to look in the mirror every morning...

rcecale 03-09-2011 04:45 PM

You're a good man, Joe! And a great friend!

Thanks Randy and same to you. As much as I would like to get in the front of the line to shoot that SOB, its not worth it. Karma or God will take care of things and that leave me to concentrate on doing better in my life.

Wish we flew to ATL more often, need to get together again!

KevinP73 03-09-2011 05:58 PM

One sin with TOTAL immunity?
I'd post this pic from the "Chest" thread.

Edited - pic removed. -Z-man.

Not TOTAL immunity, just immunity from God and the cops. No one said anything about immunity from ZOLTAN!!!

UconnTim97 03-09-2011 06:41 PM

party for one night with Charlie Sheen.

seriously though, I can't see doing anything that I couldn't face myself in the mirror the next morning. I am my own worst critic. I would be a saint if I viewed myself as my wife sees me. She's a keeper. :)

Give the wife a hug for me...

+ 1 on that, When I'm PM I'm bringin the rope back, specially for guys like Cliff - admited he did it, don't buy that crap about it costs a million for an execution, rope is cheap and its re-usable, Willie's still in denial

I'd hit fort knox for my sin, hey wait is there any money left in Fort Knox???

Well, I do see your point, Joe. There's already enough guys in line for the one they can't say w/o getting a visit from the spooks. Must say I have thought it'd be satisfying to put one in Jimmy's ear.

Joeaksa 03-10-2011 07:45 AM

Mark,

Thats too good for Jimmy (and for the other guy that several have barely mentioned) as it would end things quickly. Jimmy deserves a .22 to each knee cap (if you are in a good mood) or a .45 to the gut. One would hinder him for years and the other at least prolong what he deserves.

Either one sad to say, Jimmy is not worth you or me going to jail for so we can only hope that someone "has a talk with him" while he is in prison.

sc_rufctr 03-10-2011 08:07 AM

There is one person in my life that's got it coming.

Long story that I don't want to go into here... But I will ask you to think of the worst thing that anybody could do to you.
The hatred I had for this person ran very deep for a long time. The cops can't touch this person so I just have to accept things the way they are.
And believe me that has taken some doing.

What I've come to realize over a long period of time about "revenge" is that it's just not in me.
I have asked myself why I haven't done anything about it. The answers I give myself aren't clear.

I feel like a coward sometimes about the whole thing and yet I've done things in my life that took a lot of guts and I'm proud of.

So to answer your hypothetical question. No because the question of getting away with it was never the issue.

Meanwhile years after the fact this person lives a retched life of their own doing.
They have truly sunk to the bottom of society. Drugs and alcohol have done the deed for me.

flatbutt 03-10-2011 09:59 AM

I'd help Vinman take care of his neighbor. But then again that might not be a sin.

HardDrive 03-10-2011 10:40 AM

I don't believe in sin.

Not have to honor the sabbath, but I think everyone is not doing it these days

Moses 03-10-2011 06:05 PM

Lots of choices! I didn't know there are more than 600 sins! Does anyone get through a day without sinning?
