I tend to err on the side of simplicity. The Timney may not be as nice as a well-adjusted Geissele, but I'm not a bench rest shooter. As long as it breaks clean under 5 lbs I'm happy.

FWIW I have the AR-15 Timney in my DPMS. Never had an undented primer yet. I have had a dud milsurp round or two, though!

Both my jp and timney are single stage
I had to fit the jp and it took a while to get it perfect
The timney was perfect out of the box

Just got an email from Midway, this one just went on sale.

Still not sure what I think of that straight trigger though.

I settled on the Geissele Super Semi Automatic trigger (2-stage)...only because I got a birthday discount on it ($170 reg. $199.99) and it comes with a hat...woohooo a hat!

The SSA has the normal curved trigger with a 2.5 lbs 1st stage and 2 lbs 2nd stage while the SD-C has a 3 lbs 1st stage and the straight trigger. It should be the best AR trigger I've ever used...so look for feedback.

I also picked up a Nikon M-223 1-4x scope with a DNZ aluminum mount. I don't recall reading about anyone using the M-223 scope on a 308 rig, but I'm hoping it'll withstand the heavier kick. If not...I can use it on one of my other rigs...anyone had the Nikon M-223 scope?

I have a Chip McCormick drop in match grade trigger ass'y in my AR. 3lb pull, very crisp. It's a little cheaper than a Timney, and the pull is just as good.

Nikon scopes are high quality, .308 recoil should be no problem at all.
