Looking for a good Dress Casual shoe.

As most of you know I work in a Pharmacy. I am on my feet about 98% of my day and as such I need good shoes. I wear khakis and collared shirts to work.

Dr. Martens Javan Kurt 6-Eye Shoe TAN GREENLAND

I have a pair of those that I have worn out over the last year. Anybody got any suggestions for a good comfortable shoe around $100?

Rockports and timberlands are very comfy.

Also, if you replace the insoles with some of those gel insoles, it helps a bunch.

Go see what your local mall cop wears. Some sort of black leather sneaker. Not real dressy, but not less than what you've been wearing.

Some from the Hush Puppies line would be comfortable too, I'm not kidding.

Can't you just wear a nice quiet white leather tennis shoe? Like a K-Swiss Classic?

You can't go wrong with a nice Italian leather driving loafer.

I have a pair from To Boot New York, supremely comfortable yet classic style.

When I'm not sporting Vans or Sperrys, I wear Michael Toschi Onda X. Love these shoes..

Spend any time in a hospital and you'll find that almost everyone wears a 'Croc" type clog. If that's not do-able, I recommend Rockports.

Stick with Doc Martens. I've been wearing them for 20 years. They make some with a lifetime guarantee, so I've read.

I think they're around $130. My last Doc Martens were on sale for $70.

Men shouldn't wear crocs-actually, nobody should.

J Crew has good shoes , mostly made in Italia, where (good) shoes are made. $150

Crocs, while popular, suck more than somewhat. They are okay if you need something you can toss in the autoclave, and you have the perfect foot for them, otherwise, not so much. There is all of about twenty five cents worth fo materials in a pair of crocs, injection molded crap really.

You want a lace up, crepe sole shoe with good support. If they don't need to be too dressy, as you are behind a counter all day, you could go with black sneaker like referees wear. I like Superfeet supports, sold at most running shoe stores, for OTC support, if needed. Do not wear the same shoes to work every day, get second pair(at least) and alternate.

You want a rubber mat on the floor where you stand and count pills, stetch out your calf muscles before, after, and during your shift. If you are working full time, your shoes will get pretty beat in a year.

Yes, I don't spend time on my feet like I did when I was bartending or in retail (usually wore black sneakers), but I still insist on comfortable shoes. I think all of the shoes that I have right now including sandals are Rockport, Born or Timberlands. The Borns are a new addition, but those three are what I've been wearing for the last 10 years or so.

You're a young guy so go for something with a little more style, more metro. The shoes above say, "My girlfriend has hairy arm pits".

Just kidding. Those aren't dress casual shoes though. More like weekend casual.

I've had a few issues with my feet. at age 20 I fell from a pallet rack and landed on my feet. The soles of my feet turned black for 3 weeks. the sides of my feet from the bottom to the top ranged from black, to blue, to yellow up at the top.

At age 36 I crashed a kart into a chain link fence. yes, your feet are in front of the front wheels. Two weeks of dark feet ( Not as bad this time)

I own a handfull of shoes from Johnston & Murphy.
I've had the timberline and Clarks are a big step up. The J&M shoes are another step up in comfort.

My youngest stepson needed a pair of dress shoes to go to a sweet 16 party. I had him try on a pair of mine. The first thing out of his mouth was on how comfy they feel.

The first brand I look for in Levi/dress shoes up to full tilt Dress is Johnston & Murphy!

Wear support stockings, below knee should be adequate.

Get leather upper, with non marking soles

Wear support stockings every day you are working on your feet.
