Pulls 1.2 G's, 0-60 in 4.1, 1/4 mile in 12.3

And has a new sticker of under $50,000. Laps Laguna Seca in 1:39...which of course can't touch a well set up 944.

Road & Track test and video of the new Boss 302 Mustang "Laguna Seca" version.

Those who can't handle the truth, please don't click the link. I mean, it may be as offensive to you as Sniper's pics of his nubian beauties...

This car may be as ugly as a striped up GT3 RS, but...

It's almost as cool, fast, sporty as a miata.

kaisen 03-28-2011 05:38 PM

The Honda Insight has a far superior powertrain, and gets four times the fuel economy.

Normy 03-28-2011 05:50 PM

Nice car, GREAT "coyote" engine. But it is still a Mustang-

That means....cheap everything Ford.

I'm sure it will outrun my 928; I'm sure it has 28% of the class-

N!

Not to mention less NDs than a Glock. :)

Yet more sad, troubling, morose trolling from you, Paul? :(

dewolf 03-29-2011 01:09 AM

I like it, minus the decals. I'd also have to lower it another 1.5" as there's to much air between the fenders and the tires.

on2wheels52 03-29-2011 02:45 AM

1.2 G's with a solid axle, is that close to a record for a street car?

Almost as much HP as the wife's Cayenne.

javadog 03-29-2011 05:02 AM

That's 1.02 G's, not 1.2 G's...

Still, a lot of car for the money. Can't stand all the graphics, though.

But only NASA can source unobtainium for the spark advance cable.

I like it too -- but paying an extra $7k for the Laguna Seca package is a bit over the top, IMHO.

I'll take a 'base' Boss 302 without the gawdy Laguna Seca paint job, and upgrade my suspension myself. Could probably get a decent track oriented suspension for under $7k easily.

Boss 302 -- I like. Boss 302 'Seca -- not so much...

Exactly. the "1.2 G's" in the thread title raised my eyebrow ... of course it was high by ~20%

Tobra 03-29-2011 06:51 AM

Different vinyl graphics on it and it would look fine, maybe make all the orange bits matte black; how easy is it to remove the splitter to drive it on the street?
