Hmmm, noticing who posted negative things about the moostang kinda makes me re-think my position, I may have to go buy one just out of principle.

That paint job reminds me of the A-Team van for some reason.

Of all the modern American muscle cars I would pick the Mustang. I think Ford executed the modern car/retro look far better than the counterparts. That said I would never (ever) pay that kind of dough for a Mustang. I will never again buy a new car...once was enough. I would consider the base Boss 302 a couple years used for the $18-20K range and strip off all the gaudy graphics.
|
If it came down to Mustang 5.0 vs Camaro SS vs Challenger R/T there is no question I would pick the Mustang 5.0
The other two just seem like fat, blunt instruments that chose form over function. It's sad for me as I loved my last-gen Camaros. |
I like the new mustangs, but that thing is hideous. I gave up playing with Hot Wheels when I was a kid thanks.
|
This is exactly the car Top Gear's cool wall was made to explain.
|
If they would tone down the graphics and make look like a regular Stang it would be a great sleeper.

My brother just bought a new Mustang. His base V6 has 300 hp, more hp than the V8 of two years ago. It is rated at 31 mpg hwy and has a nice sound when pulling hard. Nice thing about the base model is no vinyl graphics on it.
The car insurance is much less than the cheaper Focus because it does not get folded up in a crash. The Ford Mustang has it going on and leaves no doubt. The black and orange car in the first post is a bit hard on the eyes though. |
I'll take one.
Send your donated cars to me at 666 Mockingbird Lane in Nimrod, Orygun. I am going to get some camo spray paint and hose it down real good before driving it tho. |

The "retro" Mustang and the GT40 are some nice *** designs.
The milage of that beast looks to be better than the new plainjane Legacys(or many new models). Well done Ford. |

No thanx, I don't care for "retro cars"- I prefer REAL cars. N! |
I like mine for half the coin. I'll do the suspension and some other mods in a couple years.
:)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301445307.jpg I am thinking about a couple of flat black stripes. |

I was looking at the V6 version at a dealership and I saw on one of the stickers that the manual transmission for it comes from China.
If I was actually in the market for a car like that, that alone would be a big deal-breaker. I am very impressed with the new 302, though and I hope that most of the parts are assembled and made in the U.S. You can say what you want about 944s but an Audi Transmission > Something made in China. |
The MT82 is designed by Ford's JFT joint venture with Getrag in Germany and built in a four-way joint venture plant in China as stated in 5.0 Mustang and Superfords March 2010 issue.
...and used in the V8 M3 |
