Neat truck, but they did a schitty job 'restoring' it to sell. I hate when people indiscriminately spray-bomb the entire vehicle.

Thats actually not only the proper way to do the paint on that truck but the best way. You may think that it was "spray bombed" but really that paint would require a chisel to remove. That is likely the best 5 ton you'll find.

I have driven these trucks. They suck! They have the most rudimentary steering, brakes, and transmissions. If you have ever driven a truck from the early 50's, you will know what I am talking about. Anything above 45-50 mph is risking your life. Seats are also extremely uncomfortable for any distance. It is no wonder the military is trying desperatly to get rid of them as fast as possible.

If you need a huge clunky truck to haul stuff, perhaps it is for you, but it isn't like they are particularly powerful or good off road. Perhaps it would be useful out on a ranch, but there are probably cheaper alternatives.

It looks pretty cool though- I just wouldn't recommend owning one! If you missed out on the EBay bidding, count yourself lucky!

I'm just tired of playing chicken with ass hats when two lanes merge into one.

Get an old pickup truck- at least you can control it and stop it!

But yes, having a monster truck and going over the top of someone is a thought I have had on numerous occasions on my commute home. As recently as yesterday IIRC.

Of course then I think of being sentenced to fines and anger management classes and figure I could also just chill out
