				AR-spoon trigger

I'm building a 308AR and need a good trigger. I've never used a two-stage or adjustable one. Give me the Cliff Notes on these, please.

Timney? Jard? Geissele? Single stage? Adjustable? 2 stage? What to buy for DCM type spoon? |

Not sure if they make them for AR10 type rifles though. Do they use the standard AR internals? |

Same as an ARI5. I could use the trigger off my ARs if I need to. Here's a Jewell trigger but why not use with mil. ammo?

Got me. Maybe the hammer spring is lighter, and doesn't pop hard primers reliably?

I have never had a problem, but then I don't think I ever shot military ammo through that rifle. |

One of the user comments on Brownells claims it doesn't work on 308 rifles. Then again, one of the comments claims it requires a special safety which is BS.

My lower receiver will take any ARI5 fire group part. Just a matter of the spring force to pop a 308 primer.

Very happy with mine. Easy drop-in installation and a crisp break @ 4.0 lbs.

It's all personal preference. Find some local shops or shooters that will let you dry fire some. I don't think you can go wrong with any. The Timney and the Chip McCormick are my personal favorites.

If you will be shooting actual DCM matches there are limits on what your trigger can do/be, I'd check into that.

Otherwise, all of the triggers mentioned are quality.

I have a Timney in my DPMS LR308 AP4. Nice trigger quality and easy to install. Worth the $200 when I consider the time and effort in getting my JP in the AR15 to feel as good as the Timney. The JP was $160!

Is the Timney so good that you guys don't feel the need for any adjustments? Troy, your JP and adjustable I take it.

Noveske on his Polygonal SS Barrels gets sub minute of angle...or go Krieger..

Knights uses a nice and crisp 2 stage match trigger... I own a Knights SR 25 and have handled the Noveske AR15 carbine and Knights SR15...that a friend just picked up..this weekend he took out the SR15 and just loved the trigger pull of the 2 stage. So go climb back up into the tree from whence you came and fling your shyte elsewhere.

Tabbydoll, I get sub-MOA out of a DPMS barrel. After a minimum level of manufacturing tolerances have been met, it's the Indian, not the arrow, that counts. The question wasn't about barrels, or a way-overpriced safe queen.

The balance of your response, "2 stage match trigger..", provides little information. The options there run the gamut from the RRA 2-stage ($100) to the Knight's 2-stage at (again, overpriced) $300 street. Though some dislike them I've had no problems with the RRA in two of my AR-15s. I'm not a big two-stage trigger fan but they're certainly better than the craptastic standard trigger and they're inexpensive. Care to make a recommendation based on what you use?
