I'm waiting for the Focus RS. I would trade in my Speed3 for one of those, but Ford isn't going to sell the RS in the US...

Should be a good competitor for the Mazdaspeed3, definitely too tasteful to be called "rice". The previous euro only hot Focus models have supposedly been very good cars, so this one is worth looking forward to.

That's funny. Ford has a controlling interest in Mazda and the Foccus and Mazda 3 are essentially the same car with different body panels.

Despite its potential prowess, the body shape is not pleasing to me. YMMV.

they sure didn't waste any time trying to make it pretty....
Looks like a Japanese car, so I'm guessing the ricers will like it...

I like these, just a tad slower than the Focus RS in a straight line but apparently quicker and sharper in the twisties.

Ever notice that if you glance quickly at the nameplate it looks like "FECES"?

Ford sold it's interest in Mazda last year. I got A-Plan on mine and the dealer promised that I will always get A-Plan pricing from him, regardless. Mazda may not continue the Speed series because of costs. I was told that Ford will not sell the Focus RS in the US or else I would have waited for that car.

I don't see why not. It looks to be a quick little car and I see plenty of hopped up Cobalt SS cars with unnecessary bits affixed to all areas of the cars in this area.

Apparently Carroll Shelby has his hand into some new things for the Focus and Festiva. He thinks the 4 cyl turbo motors will soon be the future of most cars just to meet the demands of the gov't.

I don't care for the appearance of the newest focus body. I preferred the original.

I think I'll stick with my miata though.

I was all ready to jump in with "heck, this old fart would buy one!"

I love small 4-banger cars... but the grill on that thing? YUCK!

Unfortunately the wife doesn't like the look of the Fiat 500.

Fortunately she loves the look of a Miata.

Hmmm... edit, The ones Sidney post look much better.
