another triple gig weekend (SoCal)

Been staying busy on the music front. Last weekend had 6 gigs in 4 days. This weekend is a bit more slack, and has one band but three different lineups with three different sounds/vibes.

This is our monthly jazz/funk/soul revue show. Four (or five) different vocalists and a wide variety of tunes from the 30's through 2010 (!?!?). It'll be quite the show. 35 different beers on tap, great food, and no cover.

8pm until 10pm

Our regular Saturday night show at 212 Pier, but as usual we are changing up things. This will be a lean "unplugged" trio lineup, key, bass and percussion. Come check out the musical conversation. Plus our friend Andy will be spinning vinyl afterwards and I believe there is a record giveaway as it is national record store day. We'll also have some nostatic swag to give away.

A sextet lineup this sunday with dueling saxes. If you've never heard Rachelle and Kyle jamming together you'll be in for a treat. Plus we had the dance floor cooking last week so who knows where the music will take us.
