Win 7 Update and Problems

seems to have caused some problems...

I cannot get some (graphic) parts of various web pages to display or operate.

e.g.
comcast Email system SmartZone lite lacks all the color border that distinguish buttons, boxes and so forth.

Here, on Pelican, everything works EXCEPT I cannot Bold, Ital. or use any other buttons on the posting box - I can see the graphic but each one is inoperable.

- there are some other web sites with similar issues too

This happened this morning - I walked in and my computer had been rebooted overnight. When I restarted it, I was informed of all the nice updates Windoze had installed for me...

I also ran CCleaner, but it usually doesn't eff up my system.

Any ideas??

Is there a newer driver available for your video card?

Are you running a 64-bit browser? If so, try the 32-bit version.

I had problems as well running Vista. I had finally downloaded IE 9 from my old IE 7, and it actually worked better, but as soon as I downloaded all 32 updates, I could no longer connect to the interweb.

Went back to IE 7 and all is good now.

Not quite the same but I use XP Pro at work, on Wednesday night there was an "update" which ended up with me spending 6 hours on and off the phone with Microsoft Support to eventually fix the problem.

Maybe an update has corrupted a program?

Almost definitely 32-bit. Unless you went looking for the 64bit, you didn't get it.

Mozilla is working on providing 64-bit versions, but no schedule is set.
So you can't have 64bit because it doesn't exist for normal folks to download.
