Heads up..not related to P-cars

If I had the room for a table, I'd be all over this great buy. Any Texans here with a good sized game room? Should be around 17'X20' room to hold this beauty. Larger would be better, of course.

For those not in the know, this is a professional grade table. Better playing than Brunswick, and totally made in the USA. Brunswicks now made in China...

I'm just the opposite...the bar boxes make me feel claustrophobic. Cindy loves to play on the little coin ops, because she can beat me on 'em. There is an adjustment from one size to the other. Players better than me can easily shift gears. Takes me a couple of hours to adjust. Speed, angles, all are different. Diamond makes a bar box that is better than the usual Valley tables, but I still have a hell of a time making the swich.

Then there are the bar "distractions"...the loud jukes, buzzed people talking loudly about not much of anything. Much prefer the scene at a good pool hall...muted music, quiet conversations, and the clicking of the balls.

All that said, I'd love to go watch the national bar table championships in Reno some time. Sharks from all over the USA compete in this event. The overall winner a couple of years ago was Glenn Atwell, well known in the Pacific Northwest. 3 tournaments played, 8 ball, 9 ball, and 10 ball. Glenn took 1st in two of the tourneys, 2nd in the other. Damned awesome performance...On a bar box, he's a total beast. On a 9' table, on a good day, he can hang with names like Archer, Strickland, Van Boening, etc.

Still, a table like this Diamond? Put that in your home & pool playing friends would drool. It's a '73RS of pool tables.
