Fontana police officers arrested 11 people on Saturday as part of a DUI/driver's license checkpoint at Sierra Avenue and Walnut Street.

Four people were arrested for driving under the influence, five for outstanding warrants and two for undisclosed reasons, according to a police news release.

More than 2,600 vehicles passed through the checkpoint and 240 were stopped.

About 100 vehicles were towed for various reasons and about 115 citations were issued
IMO they should do this more often and everywhere, stiffer fines should be in place for people that don't comply with the laws. Unfortunatly most of the people they stop don't care and will continue to thumb their nose at the law.
