How about a "Buying/Selling" thread?

I know that has been asked before, but I wanted to know if it would be possible to have a forum here where we could buy or sell items to fellow Pelicans? Specifically, I'm thinking about "spoons" or items that we would really like to see go to a good home or where legal issues can be addressed with people we "know" instead of CraigsList, eBay, GunBroker, etc...

For instance, I have several items that I would like to sell and I think there are fellow Pelicans who would be very interested. These items are not the average run-of -the-mill "garage sale" items and I would rather sell/buy from Pelicans than just about anyone else.

When I was buying Porsche parts, I bought new from Pelican and used (even an engine, Webers, seats, etc...) from Pelicans here and I was never disappointed. Heck, I even sold "Helga" (my '74 911) here on the "Cars for Sale" area.

Any interest?

Yes, Art, it sounds like a good idea. The Xmas Exchange indicates to me that your idea would work among Pelicans.

Yes. I'd like to buy a spoon. Something really manly. Seriously.

I'm with Art-I'd much rather buy/sell from fellow Pelicans than anywhere else on the Web.

Just call it "Wayneslist". I'd name it after myself, but that's already taken. I do have things to get rid of from time to time that I would discount to a Pelican just knowing it's going to a good person with no hassle.

Or WaynesBay

I have a mixed lot of ten 90% Silver Franklin and Walking Liberty Half Dollars from the 40's, 50's and 60's. Well circulated, one with some divots.
