Actually PI owed me a favor...
Cost me about $100 for GPS monitoring fees when we tagged her car for 4 months. I could see her comings and goings from the comfort of MY home.

That woman may have been crazy.... but she looked mean.

Dueller, I'm curious what (other than common sense) made you take a sabbatical from Pelican. Did your ex's lawyer request or compel your online usernames or did your ex or her daughters already have that? And were any of them wise to your stories here? Just curious.

Nothing I said in here really scared me....I just closed down all social networks on my own. I have used such fodder to impeach witnesses, get admissions against interest, etc in many trials. Self imposed precaution. Tp my knowledge they did not comsider poking around with my online conversations. I used innocuous postings , twitter, facevbook etc to soringboard into what was really gioing down....a lot of persoanal info is inadvertently diviuged if you know how to look for it,

Jim,

Thats the right thing to do when things like this happen. "Go to ground" and have a low profile and let her dig her hole deeper. It worked!

wow, your ex sounds a bit like my ex

got off for not much scratch

Jazz Fest is the best time to go down there, enjoy your freedom. If you can't behave at least be careful because it is true, crazy southern women are a whole different sort of critter.

Two other points....one very nice on X's part and one sad.

My stepson is graduating from college next week. A rare feat that he actually did it in 4 years with a triple major...especially considering we were concerned aboiut getting him outta high school. He and I remained close and do not discuss his mother and my problems. We decidied to keep our relationship separate. I told my X that I would like to attend his graduation but I would understand if it was uncomfortable and would not attend since it was his day and not about us. She responded: "You and he have a bond that is closer than he is to me or his (deceased) father. He wants you there. I want you there for him." So that was cool.

OTOH...the dtr trhat moved in with her from my house...got fed up with her mopther after 5 months and moved back in with her grandmother. Sad.

The situation in general and the surrounding mess is unfortunate, but I'm glad for you that the outcome was what sounds like a fair one. Congrats that a bad situation ended in your favor.

Tobra 05-03-2011 09:06 PM

after that last bit, I almost feel sorry for her
