Met Peter Gregg's grand-daughter
Last night while having dinner with my g/f and her pals it was revealed the girl siting diagonally across from me is Peter Gregg's granddaughter! I was talking about my car, having just plucked it from storage, she mentioned that she "preferred mid year-Porsche's" (and shes cute)
For those that never heard of him he led many Brumos Porsche's to victory: "In 1973 he won the 24 Hours of Daytona in a Porsche Carrera co-driven by Hurley Haywood. " (wikipedia)

True that.
Partly due to the curse of being such a perfectionist. Really a shame he was young, too. Talented guy.

Story I heard was a physical thing that would keep him from racing...racing was his life. So...
![]() He has a cute granddaughter...reminds me of my age. I was a member of PCA when he & Hurley were teamed up. Actually, Gregg was the more respected & known of the two back then. He had the nickname of "Peter Perfect"...

He fired the shot in 1980.

Stupid question time. I am not uber familiar with 911s and have heard the term mid-year models connected with increased desirability. What exactly is a mid-year 911 exactly?

Most consider them LESS desirable, because of the issues with the 2.7L engines.

Well in that case, next time you see her let her know if she ever visits LA, I'd be happy to take her for a ride. In the 911, of course.
