I dunno - I wear a helmet when I ride my bike to avoid death. I have a wife, kids, grandkids, sister, all of whom I think of when I consider "risky behavior". I didn't used to, but I do now.

I enjoy my life just fine.

Doctors have an intimate relationship with the Reaper. And we all see it differently. I view my mortality as a challenge. A challenge to live well and do more. If I spend my final days in a nursing home fighting bedsores I will be bitterly disappointed.

The idea of checking out with a rocket strapped to my wings is almost comforting.
