Sao Paulo INDY car *yawn* race
2nd day trying to run the thing and it rains right off the bat....again. Despite around 2000 spin outs and other hijinks, I thought it was boring as hell.
I'm pretty sure street circuits are all about the locals, because Long Beach isn't all that good of a race on TV. That would be especially if you start back in the 2nd third of the cars or worse. (You weren't gonna get there anyway, so no big deal.) And Sao Paulo has a MILE LONG straight! They go 180. Wow. F1 would be 210 at least. So for those of you that missed it because of work, it was Will Power again. No surprise so no spoiler. |

They had said on TV Sunday that it would restart at 1pm EDT time so I set my DVR. My son was sick so I was at home today and was going to watch it with him and low and behold when I clicked Autosport it has the results posted at about noon. No point on watching it now. I did see the end interview of Power and it looked like nobody was in the stands. I guess it was not their fault being it rained but terrible for the TV viewer.

I set my DVR to record the title, not the time and it picked it up.
With a lot of streets closed for the Long Beach affair, I wonder what the rain policy is. They've never had to even postpone the LBGP that I know of. At least they brag about the luck. I know it has rained on Sunday morning and on Saturday here during race weekend. But the race has always been run. |
