I need help wiring my driving lights
Adding two pairs of lights for our upcoming 24 hour race next weekend.
I want to use the factory wiring. I removed the headlights from the car a while ago, but carefully reserved the wiring. I want to wire the one set through the low beams and the other through the fog lights. I can't get the wiring to power up. It makes no sense. KT |
Call me

Is this on the lemons car, or on your real track car?? I am up at the shop right now, I have access to all of the wiring diagrams if you need.
|
This is the lemons car Fred,, I'm talking to him on the phone right now..

If you need anything, let me know, I should be up here till about midnight, spinning bolts on the 930 right now.
|
You gunna need me to Southern engineer it when I get there?

Quick fix.
Todd suggested checking the headlight relay. I had a spare. That was it. I'm all wired up and ran the car for about 45 minutes with all the lights on. Even with the underdrive pulley, the alternator still produces 14.3 volts with 300+ watts of lights at idle. KT |

Trek, the script is ready to cut. Fiddling with the names a bit still. I'll have it all in my suitcase when I hit the ground out there... Anything else out of the norm I need to bring? |

You guys have great toys. Nice lights.

Sid, you are a smart cookie to use an intermediary between the fork blades and the strap. I had a show where someone wrapped the lifting strap over the blades and it cut it like a knife. The set piece weighted about 1,000 pounds and when the strap failed, it broke his ankles.

Hugh, we we have 3 cranes... Rigging is one thing we are good at. :D
We have since taken a big piece of tubing and cut it to the length of the forks and welded an eyelet. We now have a place to hook a clevis for straps. |
