It helps to have the chop-rip saws, saw horses, and workbench all at the same height for cutting plywood or long lumber.

I had some steel bench framework that I had salvaged, which I used to make my work bench. It was a little low, so I used some pressure treated 4x4's as a base under the legs. This made the height 38 in. and about right for me. For everyone's FYI, I found a great worktop for it at H.D. While there looking around for something, I happened upon 4x8, T&G, plywood flooriing sheets - 1 1/8 in. THICK. I used the leftover strip to make a backsplash. It's great. I imagine other building supply stores should have them also. The price was around $35 to $37, if I remember correctly. The left over portion made a good backsplash.

workbench height what should it be ?
Ideally it should be just the right height to work off of. not too tall, not too short.

No thanks necessary, just glad I could help
