that one will more than likely give ya either a 50% dose of venom or none.

its the baby ones coming soon to area near you, in august(historically), born live and full of piss and venom. and they give ya 100% dose of venom each and every bite.

there fun, there practical, they will clear a room faster than a popcorn fart.

and best of all...............they just LOVE to SNUGGLE UP when the night air gets cool.

i LOVE THEM so MUCH i have STRATEGIC FULL AUTO CLASS III SHOVELS across my 1.5 acres. and ................22/9mm/38/.357/.44 mag/.45 snake shot everywhere!

when they coil in yer pool skimmer................thats when it gets DICEY and none of the above work very well without massive collateral damage.

ever try drowning a snake? we have...................and it aint fun and takes a damn long time.

Earlier today I was talking to my neighbor who lives 4 doors down. His son in law pulled in the driveway recently to see two rattlesnakes in a mating dance in their front yard.

Babies are born in August, you say? Hopefully our local herd of coyotes will snack on the little ones before they make it to adulthood.

right now is the time. cool nights warm days. they be cruising big time. buddies jack russel 14 yr old and deef(deaf) got nailed this past sunday. $6000 bucks later and dawg was DOA!

no they didnt find the snake. ALWAYS KILL THE DAMN SNAKE to get correct venom species ID! 99% of the time down here at these elevations it will be a crotalus atrox(diamondback).

higher elevations in ascending order, will be coral snakes(rare), then green mojave (one steppers), then timber rattlers.

when summer temps hits they will stay in cool places, then cruise at night for feed.

kind of STOOOO-PID to have diamondback venom given at hospital when ya got bit by another species.

ALWAYS ALWAYS KILL THE DAMN SNAKE AND HAUL ASS LIKE A MOFO TO HOSPITAL! w/snake for correct ID for CORRECT ID!

SNAKE BITE KITS ARE A JOKE AND A STROKE!

honestly if nailed by a coral or green mojave.................yer a feeking DEADMAN! hence the name "one steppers".

ask me how i know?

search "coitus interruptus" on here(pelican) for snake pics. im at work. pics on different puter and i got in late last night.

i caught a coral snake, as a youngster. and brought it home. my mother nearly fainted. yep, it was a coral snake, positively identified with the 'field guide to eastern reptiles'. good times.

being so rare, there aint alot of anti-venom for them. the rare snakes are in high demand for milking. many are protected here.

i have seen (3) coral snakes in my life here. ya have to be pretty damn stoopid to get bit as their mouths are small. same with a gila monster. there slow and ya damn near HAVE to stick your hand down their throat to get bit.

green mojaves on the other hand i have seen 7 footers coming at me. they are very aggressive and stand their ground. these are pure bad ju ju.

greens are found along colorado river, and starting in the foothills around 2200-2500 ft elevation and even into the lower oak pine levels.

i have seen way more of them than i have ever wanted. when yer a dezert racer all yer life.............well ya tend to become ONE WITH NATURE!

ask me how much fun it is to run over a snake at 60+ mph on a dirty bike? and then ask me which time?

Friend of mine caught a coral snake in the woods behind the office, stuck it in an ice chest he had in the back of his POS car he won in a poker game. It was just under an inch too short to be the biggest one ever caught in Tejas, or so said the Fish and Wildlife officer who took it off his hands.

I guess they milked it a few times before they turned it loose, but they did set it free out in the middle of nowhere.

I wish there was something in the photo to show you how big this snake really is...
His body just behind his head would be as thick as your forearm.

Australian King Brown. (Near Sydney NSWs)

Shoot, in Australia, they have 3 foot long earthworms, too. I think they're endangered, tho.
