Any Stargate Universe fans here besides me?

Such a great series and it's ending! Why would they do that after only a few seasons? They're going to leave fans hanging just like when Firefly ended.

Probably. I have seen every episode. I wish the show was more positive. It is the anti-star trek, very dark.

I am a fan of the series and I am very mad at SyFi for moving the show to Monday night and then canceling it. I liked Stargate Atlantis the best, though. It's a shame the entire saga is ending.

I had trouble getting into it being so dark. SG Atlantis was OK for a few seasons and SG 1 was good for 7 of it's 10. But Amanda Tapping was so hot that I watched just to see her!

I liked it... Dark, gritty story and characters too... It's not the first time TV cancels what I consider to be a great show... Too bad !
Seems to me they have not made much progress in the last season towards a "good" ending, so it's either be bad or a little abrupt ! I hope they make a movie, at least !

PS: Is it me or does TJ look like Charlize Theron's sister ? ;-)

I do miss the Star Trek type of show, with some positive view of the future. It seems all the space operas are doom and gloom, just road warrior moved to space. That is one thing I like about Eureka, at least it has some light moments and technology saves the day.

With Stargate Universe the entire planet can't whip the alliance, yet SG1 saved the world from some pretty bad aliens.

I enjoy SGU. I too am sorry it is ending. NBC continues to destroy every network they have.

Well, I did not expect that last episode's ending... I thought they were gonna rush (no pun) to a resolution, but no, they did well to leave things are they are. Maybe someone will pick up the show, maybe that leaves room for a movie? Here's hoping... Damn, one less good gritty show.

I watched it a while, quit, and started again a few weeks ago. I like it. I still prefer he dry humor of Doctor Who.

On the bright side, if they cancel, maybe we can git more shows like wrastlin' and ghosty shows....who really wants to watch that science fiction crap anyway?

Absolutely, especially on the SyFy Channel

The last episode certainly left a continuation possible.

For the Firefly fans, I see that the Science channel has started broadcasting episodes. They say "new episodes" but I don't know if they are really new or just new to Science channel.

I just saw it. Great way to end the series, Eli has always been my favorite character.

Haven't seen the last episode yet so I skipped past all the comments.

But yes, watched it religiously. Robert Carlyle is such an amazing actor. In fact, the entire cast was great. Solid acting. That's rare, especialyl for SciFy.

Wow, earlier I realized that I was 4 episodes behind, not 1. I just watched the last 4 episodes, all back to back.

Talk about an emotional last few episodes. The whole ancestors-discovery... amazing. Could have been a whole movie right there. And then the final episode... a very dark ending to a very dark show.

Possible Spoiler here-

Judging by the ending shot... I think it was clear that Eli didn't intend to even try to fix the last pod. It was suicide.

From producer Mallozzi: “Hopefully, by the time [the season finale, 'Gauntlet'] airs, we’ll have definite word on a potential movie or two,” he said.

“If it’s a go and fans can look forward to a proper end to Destiny‘s mission, then ‘Gauntlet’ will certainly set the stage for a grand conclusion. If, on the other hand, things don’t pan out and ‘Gauntlet’ does turn out to be the bittersweet finale, fans will be thrilled, touched, heartbroken — and left to wonder what could have been.”

[I'm afraid we got the bittersweet version, which seems to be confirmed in the news. But let's hope for a movie anyway.]

"Yes, I can see how many would view Gauntlet as an appropriate series ender but, as much as I love the episode, it still leaves me frustrated. More to the point, it leaves me frustrated knowing that, after 11+ years of resolving cliffhangers, this is the one time I won’t be able to come up with the answers.

Does Destiny make the jump to the other galaxy? How long does the journey take? Does Eli manage to fix the damaged pod(s) or find a way to extend the ship’s life support long enough to ensure his survival? Does T.J. find a cure for her ALS? Who does she get together with in the end, Young or Varro? Does Lisa ever regain her sight?

I could provide some insight into what we discussed, possible answers to these burning questions but, ultimately, they’ll serve as little more than interesting footnotes to greater canon. In the end, the answers are what you choose them to be. In those final moments, we fail to make the jump to FTL with Destiny and, after two years of following its journey, we are left behind to wonder. Maybe they do make the voyage in three years and our crew’s adventures will continue, only we won’t be privy to them. Maybe, sadly, they don’t make it and that final glimpse of Destiny was a true farewell. Or, maybe, Destiny is still out there, still journeying, its crew in stasis, destined to outlive all our questions."
