Many years ago, when I was 14-15, I got a Summer Job at a lake resort in No California. It was a drought year and our resort had the only concrete boat launching ramp that reached the water. I was a clean-up guy doing whatever was needed, cleaning restrooms, picking up trash, stuff like that. Anyway, the line to launch a boat was always pretty long and it cost $3.00 to launch. I overheard the guys running the Marina, bragging about how much $$ they were not "ringing up" and pocketing. I really didn't think too much about it until a few days later, the owner pulled me aside and asked me to count the # of boats that came into launch. At that time, I advised my boss that the marina guys were just bragging about keeping a lot of the cash
launch fees. Well, the owner was pissed, fired the two guys and gave me another guy the Marina job. I had that job for 4 Summers.
