Thrown under the bus - Cliche ?
It is really getting over used. I watching talking heads and EVERYONE is being thrown under the bus.
I think it is reaching Cliche status. |
It was over used 3 yrs ago.
So what you're saying is that Thrown Under the Bus has Jumped the Shark.
It seems as old as the hills
You just threw "threw under the bus", under the bus!
I put it in as a suggestion

it's an over-used narrative, that's for sure

What a crock of shyte! This thread is useless without pictures of people and said bus.
Pwned, WIN, Fail, REALY REALLY WANT, N00B, _____ Cat Sez, motivational posters, matte black cars....they're all played out.
Imagine a tatoo of tire tracks on your back! That would be a living cliche...
"Fail" is my pet peeve. In fact, I'm really sick of verbs and nouns swapping places. My company uses "position" as a verb in just about every internal email.
Funny.
An email chain at work recently was doing some finger pointing on who was responsible for an item, and it was mistakenly assigned in the email to one manager when we all really knew it was someone else's. I BCC'd the email to a colleague with a picture attached of a bus with an arrow pointing under it. |

Sorry, that is my pet peeve. |
It's pretty un-clever but that covers most of TV, doesn't it?
My brother was telling me a story recently about being "sold down the river" by someone. That one is a lot more tried and true, IMO.
I've been thrown under the short bus...
