I'm actually NOT here anymore. This message (and my account) are now being managed (and my comments and opinions are being posted) by a post-rapture dog sitting/walking company...
Gee, hope that doesn't get me banned.... Hope there's a Nurburgring in Heaven.... wait... the 'Ring IS heaven.... |
Thank God I'm still here.
Actually, I figure tomorrow - all the slow driving nuts will be gone with the rapture. I can finally get where I'm going - even on a Sunday. I might even fire up the RD400 early tomorrow since everyone that would complain about the noise will be gone. Just us sinners left. Let the party begin. |
Some random reports of people killing their pets & even kids. Hopefully all Internet rumors.
But more than a few folks apparently didn't plan to pay rent or buy food after today. |
There has to be some sort of alert. More fighters out of LGB. I've never seen it like this.
You suppose the ol' Al Qaeda wants some action for the Rapture? Edit for update: Some sort of military parade a couple of cities over. I guess our flyboys needed to make some noise for them. |
Milt- I was out playing volleyball a bit ago and heard some jet noise- sounded like a coupe of screamer fighters- coming up from long beach past PV. Couldn't get a fix on them through the fog over the bay but they were low & moving.
But yes, rapture- hah, I'm working it into pickup lines tonight. |
"You can climb to heaven on THIS, Baby!"
|
Guess we'll have to wait another 4000 years.

The difference between a cult and a broadcaster I guess is money? Not saying that religeon is a cult but THIS guy spinning people into a fervor, spending their live savings on spreading the word/his message....doesn't he bear some responsibility? Was he raptured away? |
F.a.i.l.
|
Looks like I'm going to be stuck in perpetuity with Rita Hayward, Galileo, DaVinci, Dennis Hopper, and Hendrix.
Darn. |
I wonder how many of them were jumping up and down trying to achieve lift off before realizing the rapture death and destructionapalooza was postponed once again until till further notice.
I'm curious..would the rapturees float away slow and gently like holy helium balloons cut loose? will they accelerate as they gain altitude like the old saturn rockets? maybe whoosh and instant full speed in random directions like bottle rockets. now that would be cool to watch... |
I haven't seen much discussion in the media about this, deservedly so, but not even from Camping.

You're all wrong. The Rapture was yesterday. The worthy went. Thing is, none of you, or anyone you know or have heard of, are worthy of Heaven. Heaven is not this place where you get in just because you carry a Bible around. Not 10% of humans are going to Heaven. Not 1%, not 0.1% or 0.01%. God is way more selective. The Heaven-bound have to be earth-shattering superstars of worthiness. They are, to the average person, like Albert Einstein, Ayrton Senna, Jimi Hendrix, John Holmes . . . They love God and follow his teachings more than almost anyone. You know how many people win a Nobel Prize, or an Olympic gold medal in an individual sport, each year? About that few are chosen, each Rapture day. That's why we don't realize they are gone. Even if we did know them, we wouldn't miss them. A man that worthy is a real drip.

LOL.
I can buy into that theory. IIRC, real Christians -- per the Bible -- don't proclaim and beat their chests about their religion. They pray in the 'closet' not the street corner. And wasn't there something in the Bible that said there were only 144,000 being taken up? Out of 6.6 billion, that's not very noticeable. |
So Jimi, Kurt, Morrison, Janis were all Raptured? hmmm...cool.
|
No. To be raptured, your worthiness as compared to the average person has to be as Jimi's guitar skills were to the average person, or John H's, err, relevant attributes were to the average male - who we know from lisa's surveys is, well, I can't do the metric conversion for yards.

What I find sad about this whole May 21st is the end of the world is the attention Harold Camping is getting -- he has been dismissed by many if not most Christians as someone who mis-interpretted the scriptures again and again. For example, Camping's belief is that the modern church is a tool of the devil, and that 'true' believers should not attend church. This is ocntrary to what the Bible says about Christian fellowship. Ok - apologies for gettin' all religous here, and pushing this thread more towards PARF... -Z-man. |
But how does he maintain a network of radio stations? Who are the advertisers?
