Mustang launch

With Cindy's Ranger in the shop getting new heads, the Mustang has tuned into a grocery getter.

Coming home from Safeway yesterday, a young guy in a red striped & spoilered 4.6 GT tried to get me in a stoplight gran prix. He launched quite impressively. Did okay considering he has a 3:55 rear end ratio compared to my car's 3:73.

Sorry kid...I had a trunk full of groceries, including Milk & eggs. Besides, that kind of stuff has joined the list of things I used to do.

Too bad the city cop lurking a block back had turned off just before the launch...I'm sure he'd have enjoyed the show as much as I did.

You should be responding to his thread on the Mustang board's "kill section" instead of telling us about it here.

A while back I was on a "Sunday drive" with my wife out in the boonies. I was enjoying the day when a pickup truck of some sort that was decked out which all sorts of crap to make it look sporty ended up beside me at a light. My V1 was blaring away that there was something behind us. The guy started revving his engine and carrying on while the light was red. When the light turned green, he power braked and rolled through the intersection roasting the tire on his open rear end. I idled away from the light. I don't think he made it more than about 20 or 30 feet before the lights and siren were on from 3 cars back.

It was kind of funny.

The Bullitt board I visit has no "kill section"....actually, most who post here aren't young. Obviously, the Bullitt's understated look & higher price doesn't appeal to kids...

That said...I've seen posts here bragging of street victories, haven't you?

The miata board actually has a policy against street racing and any thread talking about a "kill" or illegal street racing gets locked/deleted

Still, there is an MSM board (Mazdaspeed Miata, MSM are factory turbo miatas) that has a thread titled something like "what has your MSM beaten".

I had a speed/acceleration/embarass the other guy story deleted from a Monte Carlo thread a couple of years ago because it violated their "no racing" policy.

That's the first time I've written something that a monitor has needed to delete. I was quite embarassed and wrote the moderator an apology.

Am I missing something? Are all of these Mustang posts a joke or what? Surely they are?

Paul, if to you, that picture depicts a nice butt, then your taste in women reflects your taste in cars.
