Darn hot and darn dry!

But not dry enough to be AZ.

We topped 100° today. This sucks. The past two mornings have been better than usual, in the low 70s. Usually our mornings are around 78° and muggy.

It's darn dry too. We had about 3.5" of rain in Jan, another .5" in Feb, and last month some time we got .2".

But, despite all of that, I'm thankful. We haven't been flooded or sucked up into the sky.

The US and rest of the world, I think, seems to be experiencing some unusual weather this year.

We'll make up the rain with the expected hurricane season...

Obama said we're not a disaster area, and more interesting disasters are getting the news.

That would be great. I'd love to see 75° with a dew point of <60°. But, that would probably mean that I'd moved to Cali...

Knoxville set a record last year for days above 90 degrees (I think it was around 78 or 80) and we've already had quite a few this year. The previous record was 55, I believe. This summer's not looking good...

Going to hit 80 today, low 70's for the weekend. Guess I'll wait a few weeks to heat the pool.

You said it! This is the strangest weather I've seen here in the Monterey Bay area of CA in many years. Although it's June already, temps have rarely been above the mid-60s and we're in for a pretty healthy rain storm over the next few days as well. We rarely see any rain between mid-April and mid-October but this year it's been a very cool, wet Spring...and snow is still coming down in the Sierra too. All this coming after a record-setting rainy season...the mountains have had up to 50' of snow in some places. The next thing will be major flooding from a rapid snow melt if the temps spike up quickly. One bonus is that Yosemite's waterfalls will be really spectacular this year.
