actually sunday it cost me a case of coors lights and some elk. have not tallied it up yet. what i cant emphasize enough, is unless you pay TOP PESO( i mean bend ya over w/no lube TOP PESO) for something like this, or DO IT YERSELF................it aint EVAR GOING TO BE THAT CLEAN!


we mulled over alot of things here. 3.4(too hot for the dez), various parts and combinations blah blah. various paints and on and on. it has been a running conversation of what does work and doesnt work and whats puffed up CRAP as far as parts. remember its a show room stocker, so not a hell of alot we can do to it.


i can tell you this, we will be upgrading the a/c system in the future. it runs great now(after upgrading) but can work even better. its a multi tool car. highway runs and then to the track when we can. screw the city driving. too many idiots here.


what i really want is a fuel cell(me afeared of fire big time) that has a dimple in it to allow a full size air'd up tire to lay in the recess. that would give me a warm fuzzy at the track. that why i wear 4 layers of nomex in the event i biff the damn thing hard. me no trust stock fuel tank. i can get one from england but i will pay dearly for it.

waiting on parts from wayne still. a couple of them backordered. no rush, we just polish/clean more stuff.

still gotta take my track tires off and mount street tires so we dont melt them down.

no they are NOLOGY uber zoomy(2%-4% MORE pony power-HP) along with the uber zoomy track tested(lil ol me) NOLOGY COIL!

anxious is not the word to describe my feelings. more like a "cricket on a griddle" would be how i feel about firing this insanely showroom stock(ho hum-legal beagle to the rules) monster.

Somehow, I am not feeling so tough right now. I was going to rip into this like a madman on a mission ( which I did), replace the studs, and put it back together . but, I know better, and I am in the early stages of while you are in there itis.
I want to put this together once, and drive it for the next 10 years . Just like you, no real power mods planned, just some solid upgrades to improve reliability . I had to split the case, I had a large oil leak at #8 main, and now is the time . I will now sleep good at night knowing what is inside my crankcase.
Oh , and I did find this in my sump area, I guess that explains why I have two heads with a 1979 date code, and the rest are 1976.
Any guesses what it is?

rocker shaft! HOLY NED! parts iz PARTS but NOT IN YER SUMP! YIKES thats serious. take yer time, clean every damn nut bolt fastner and then some and you will be a proud papa like me.
