Charity car show pics.

Our local CarQuest had a charity car show today. My daughter and I took the 911 up as the owners of the store have been asking me for some time to bring it.

Many of the local hotrods showed, 99% domestic, and I took some pics of cars I thought some of you would dig.

57 Chevy with a big ol' huffer:

Another one:

A really clean Nova that sounded wicked.:

Killer green Coronet. It was featured in a national MOPAR madazine. My wife's best friend's brother painted it. The body panels are extremely straight and thepaint is miles deep. Just incredible:

A really clean big block Corvette:

68 Camaro huuuuge block. I like the clean look of the engine bay.:

My partner for the adventure. She got a bit bored after a few hours so we took the car for a drive so, apparently, she could fall asleep .

I was really surprized at how many people checked out the 911. In a world dominated by GM, I guess I shouldn't be shocked that most have never seen one up close. Car guys are all the same, I guess. If it's fast/quick, we like it.

Hey Wayne thanks for sharing those pics. Some nice machinery there. Plus quite a sweet partner you got there. Great she is into going to the car show with you.

Cheers Richard

Damn, cute kid, just put a hitch in my throat, my youngest is off to College in a few months......for years, we've been the soccer, every weekend pair. Now, all that's over, I'll miss those days.

Looked like a great time.

Guessing your daughter is about 5-7 yrs old? I have a 6yr old daughter who enjoys hanging with me too. I have to modify a booster seat to fit in my Koenig SP 700 seat so I can take her more than just through the neighborhood in the Porsche. Can't wait to roll up to the trailhead in the 911 with both our bikes on top. I'll have to get a pic of that!

Enjoy it while you can guys...shortly after puberty hits, you will switch from being a pretty cool guy to the dumbest thing on two legs...

My mom reminded me the other day of something I said when I found out we were having a girl.......

"What am I supposed to do with a daughter? Play dressup and have tea parties?"

Ahem.

Not only have I done those things, I would do anything for/with her. My son doesn't have much interest in things automotive but my "little girl" sure does.

If she lasted a few hours, she did good. She might be a car girl!
