Casey Anthony trail- anyone watching?

This is the girl in Orlando FL that is being accused of killing her 1-2 year old daughter and not reporting the death for 30 days. It was all over the CNN talk shows.

I've watch some of it on line and read the daily reports in the paper. She had something to do with the death but proving it is another matter. There is no DNA or "smoking gun" to tie her directly to the murder.

I think she will walk.

No chance she will walk. She might get the death penalty at sentencing, but it will be overturned on appeal. She's as guilty as OJ and doesn't have lawyers as good, cops and prosecutors as incompetent or jurors as dumb as he did. She'll never see the light of day again. And if, by some miracle, she does, she'll have to move to a deserted island.

this all went down near to me......it's dominated the local media for 3 years building up to the trial........she will fry, if not will spend the rest of her life behind bars with all the appeals.......and jose biaz is possibly the WORST lawyer on this planet.......

I never said she didn't do it but there is no proof.

My impression is that she was a party girl and having a young daughter was getting in the way of having fun.

I don't think she'll walk in Florida. They're pretty tough on criminals here.

I haven't followed this trial/story at all. But even if you accidentally kill your kid in a fit of rage, what happens if you try to cover it up is far worse than just 'fessing up. No? And if you don't want your (living) kid for whatever reason, give it up for adoption.

When I lived in Orlando they lived about a mile away so I have been keeping an eye on the trial via the news. That family is so screwed up I'm not sure which idiot killed the girl. A real shame. But I agree that from what I've seen in regards to evidence I'm not sure there is enough to convict. It could have been any of the family that did this. I'd fry them all .

I was working for a Tampa Bay news affiliate and we covered this a lot (and I've seen far more of it than the normal viewer), I agree that the whole family is messed up.

I wouldn't be surprised if Casey's parents knew about it and kept silent. The only thing is, only Casey is on the hook & it seems the rest of the family will let her take the fall.
