+1 That was about as inspiring as watching her solve calculus problems - which I'm sure she's excellent at as well. Having a personality though...doubt it.

Very true she is a kid and it would be unrealistic to judge her to an adult standard. I never said she didn't enjoy it - I said I found that video performance to be very dry - like guitar hero folks who don't move a muscle and focus on hitting every note - they miss the experience IMO.

Now this little ukulele kid obviously has spent some time learning to play but has not let it suck out his emotions. This is what I want to see from a 6yr old kid. YMMV.

The only reason I stated that she is playing without feeling or soul really has nothing to do with age, but rather that she is North Korean and they have a habit of taking kids from their parents and forcing them to a life of music, arts, sports.. These kids all sit in rooms all day and play the same thing, over and over until they all sound perfect. They are more of a machine.

Maybe this kid really likes playing the guitar and will develop later in life, maybe.

That was pretty impressive. Though she obviously didn't get that way on her own initiative. She is a result of the state making sure she does nothing all day other than practice and all for the glorification of the Kim penal colony that is N. Korea.

Yes, but she was probably interested in the guitar from an early age. How many of the NK kids really want to be a musician, athlete...? I still stand by what I first said. The NK girl plays without soul or feeling. It is amazing that she can play so well, but that's what she does day in and day out.

BTW, Sumi Jo, probably one of the best sopranos in the world; from the south, but nevertheless, Korean. Probably forced to sing too, huh?
