So a 1000W transducer in 1.5 liters of liquid will clean like a mother**%@er... :D |
This is my current spoon-cleaning table:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1321928966.jpg After things get out of the ultrasonic cleaner, I blast them with an air gun, then toss them in the vat of gun oil to sit overnight. I have a separatory funnel and a filter setup for cleaning the oil about once every six months. Water starts to collect at the bottom of the oil vat over time. |
We always used aluminum foil to verify that the ultrasonic cleaner was ultrasonicifating. Hung a 1" wide strip into the bath and timed how long it took to perforate - usually only a few minutes for the lab-type units we got from VWR.
It seems like a test like that would be a way to check if whatever transducers you had were "good enough". |
