SNS ranked #3 by Popular Science!
The facility where I work (Spallation Neutron Source) was ranked as the #3 most epic science project by Popular Science magazine (in the latest August issue). Unfortunately, they got most of the technical details in the write-up incorrect and the picture they show isn't actually SNS, but what the heck.
Popular Science sent us a note explaining that we were ranked low on the "Wow factor" because no one outside of physicists really understood what we were doing. :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1310835131.jpg |
Nice. Good luck on your neutron sourcing.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Can you explain in simple terms?
J/K. Congrats! |
I have no clue as well...but hey, that's cool!

If I order some neutrons, may they be used to keep birds and squirrels away from my blueberry bushes?
|
Cool, you give tours right?

I have some blue ones. I have every color except pink. Those are hard to find.

You're all neurotic.

Does Jimmy Neutron work there by chance?
|
no but Atom Ant does...he he he

I pour the neutrons on the anthills here in Montana. All activity ceases within 10 minutes. I had it mixed up with malathian.
|
What is this? A science project in the USA that hasn't been defunded yet? Is there a military link or something?
