Animal guesses - part 2

So a while back posted this thread - Any guesses as to what this animal could be?

About an animal caught on a game cam. Moving *very* fast thru the frame of the game cam... has been seen by several of the folks that live there.

Well, they found some tracks the other day. Covered 'em with a pan to keep rain/dew off, took some pics. Is this a cat track? New thread for revised guesses. Again, pic taken in N Central Florida. Those of us that have seen the animal and tracks are thinkin Fla panther...

Original pic -

If you can see claws, it is a canine. Cats retract their claws for walking / running. It is possible the dog tracks are not from the animal in the game camera.

Canine vs. Feline Tracks - How to tell the difference between them.

I agree w/ George, I think these are dog prints. I f you look closely at the print next to the sawbuck...on the right side you'll see a dew claw mark. Indicitive of a larger dog (heavier weight to push deeper into the mud).

I also agree with George.

Going by the guide posted by sammy I would say dog or coyote. In the picture you can see claw marks in the sand. The guide does not show any claw marks on either print. Also looking at the main pad mark in the picture(i have no idea what the proper name is) it is shaped with one lobe at front and two in the back. The guide shows a mtn lion having three lobes in back.

I am just comparing the photo to the guide posted here. I am sure the more seasoned outdoorsmen will set me straight.

Is the Florida Panther the same as a mountain lion, or different species or subspecies or what?

Those tracks are canine, and that fur color appears to be coyote....
