Repair/replace headphone cable. Who does that?
I need to replace the headphone cable on my son's phones. I broke it. I can't do really fine soldering and I want it to look right.
Where would I go to get something like this done? He loves the headphones. It would be a shame to toss them out.

you could see about sending it to Dave Clark headsets. They make aviation head sets
I would call them first as they might have the correct plug and wire setup, they usually like to fit the harness and test it before they will release the unit. Otherwise take a trip to Radio Shack and look for a new wire/plug assembly, they might have one and then you can install it yourself though some soldering will prolly have to happen, the tech at RS may be able to fit it

Radio shack is now a cell phone store... good luck finding anything useful there.
I do some of that kind of work... but it can be like micro surgery depending on the cable. Are there any electronic repair shops in your area (I know, good luck finding one in the age of disposable electronics) that might be a good place to check.

Every Radio Shack I have been to in the last few years as been useless. They sell cell phones and batteries. If you ask for a thermistor they will ask if you mean a transistor.
