I'm on ice right now, but a visit to the doc seems like the way to go.

perfect use for the monkey roll. thanks for the chuckle.

feel better trek. for a twisted ankle, there is nothing better than those "air cast" things. mine got stolen from me, and they were nasty sweaty things. they are that good. i bet they are $$.

Compression(ace bandage) will help too, air cast with high top sneakers would be a good call.

When you roll the ankle and tear the ligaments, you lose stability and proprioception(ability to identify position of foot relative to leg, no, not that it is on the end, more that it is turned in or out) When you get past the acutely painful stage, you can start doing rehab.

This is totally seperate deal from last problem, if I remember right

I wore an ace bandage to my jazz rehearsal and to bed between icing.

It looks like high tops or boots are in order, yes.

This is a separate injury, yes.
Even more painful than last time.

I might have to come see you...

KT, don't take this lightly. Speaking from experience - I fell on a trail run when I was 40. Shoulder hurt like hell for months but I was used to it as I have genetically poor shoulder design (wide with no support). I blew it off and dealt with the pain. Fast forward 7 years and the Ortho doc says "looks like you broke your shoulder a while ago". No hope for me other than a man-made replacement which basically means the gym is off limits. Hell with that...man created ibuprofen for a reason.
