Donald Sutherland in "JFK"

This movie's been out for a while and was on AMC last night. 4 hours long

This is my favourite part in the movie - Mr. X (Donald Sutherland) = Black Ops.

He's always been one of my very actors ("Eye of the Needle", "The Dirty Dozen", "Klute", "MASH", "Kelly's Heroes" (Oddball), "Space Cowboys", "Ordinary People", etc etc.

Here's the clip from "JFK"

This movie opened my eyes to a LOT of possibilities of how and why JFK was assassinated. The part about JFK stopping the Cuban crisis and his plan to end the Vietnam war are pretty compelling in and of themselves to warrant the conspiracy possibility.

But more than anything, I really liked this role for Mr. Sutherland and thought it was the best scene in the movie.

That was truly a great movie, every time I stumble across it, it sucks me in, and I end up watching what is left of it

"Just call me X"

Great line.

I don't believe I have ever watched the whole movie in one sitting. Almost like baseball - who can sit there for a whole game ? (unless it's the playoffs and YOUR team is playing!) But I don't follow baseball much anymore due to the '94-'95 strike, which really turned me off big-time!

I had him (Donald Sutherland) come up to me at Santa Monica Seafood Company. My g/f and I were sitting at one end of the oyster bar and he was at the other side with some friends. He looked over at me a few times, then got up and walked over to me. I was going, "wtf?!?". I was wearing my Sig turtleneck which has the sig logo on the mock turtleneck part. He said, "sorry if it seemed like I was staring at you, but my friend was asking me who was going to perform the upcoming marriage ceremony for my son and I saw you and thought you had a priests' collar on. I jokingly said that I should have that guy do it."

A few laughs, I said no worries, and he walked back and continued with dinner. I also saw him a few month previous at the local small hardware store on Santa Moinca Bl. Very nice guy and his voice is awesome in person.

Funny you should comment on his voice....I was in another part of the house last night when that segment came on the movie and my ears perked up - I recognized that voice of his - very distinctive indeed!
