Worst Actors

Just saw "The Untouchables" again, I like the movie, De Niro, Connery and Garcia were great, but Costner is the worst actor. He sucked in "No Way Out" too.

The wife and I just laugh at him through the entire performance.

Who is your worst actor.

Brian in VA 08-03-2011 06:43 PM

Nick Cage.

stomachmonkey 08-03-2011 06:43 PM

Costner sucked in Robin Hood.

Alan Rickman absolutely made that movie, pure genius.

ben parrish 08-03-2011 06:47 PM

Keanna Reeves..truly sucks....

Is it just those two movies or all Costner? I really liked Mr. Brooks.

+1 him or Brendon Frasier are the worst.

Radioactive 08-03-2011 07:09 PM

Costner sucks most of the time but......

I liked

Tin Cup
For the love of the game
The guardian
Message in a bottle

BeyGon 08-03-2011 07:50 PM

I agree with everyone so far.

Moses 08-03-2011 08:10 PM

I agree with all the choices above, but Jack Black just annoys the crap out of me.

Hugh R 08-03-2011 08:17 PM

I work in the Industry so I shouldn't comment, but all of the above.

He's still in some "excellent adventure" no matter what movie he is in. In "Dracula" I was expecting him to say "Hey Dracula Dude". What gets me is why the top line actors in some of his movies don't have a No worky with Keannue clause.

porsche4life 08-03-2011 08:33 PM

And Dane Cook...

^this

Mr. Cage plays the same wanna be Elvis in every movie he has been in. For F sake he married Elvis's daughter. Some sort of sick fetish.

89911 08-03-2011 08:38 PM

Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Ashton Kutcher, John Travolta. Will not watch any of their movies. I'm sure some have arguments why they shouldn't be on it but, hey, it's my list.

Tyson Schmidt 08-03-2011 08:46 PM

Nobody mentioned Paul Walker yet?

Rick Lee 08-03-2011 08:55 PM

I liked Costner in No Way Out. Jack Black is near the top of my "why are they famous" list.

speeder 08-03-2011 09:10 PM

Brad Pitt is a good actor, particularly in comedic roles. He's very gifted, actually under-rated, IMO.

Embraer 08-03-2011 09:29 PM

david caruso is pretty bad.

*gravely voice*

"you were looking at manslaughter....."

*puts shades on, flips out tails of sport coat*

"but now it's murder...."

*dramatic camera pause* *cue The Who music*

Geronimo '74 08-03-2011 09:33 PM

Steven Seagal, can only play one character really
Chuck Norris.
Nick Cage, same as Steven Seagal
Muchauly Culkin (sp?)
Hayden Christensen sucked epically as Anakin Skywalker
Ahnold can't act to save his life.

I MUST show this to my GF. I say virtually the same thing. He's the same, whatever he's in.
Rememebr the line "It's a man, he's grown young!" when he's in the carriage and sees Drac as a younger man for the first time?
Totally Ted.

romad 08-04-2011 05:24 AM

How do you even quantify this topic. Current actors, all actors, movie actors, tv actors my god. You could easily list hundreds as bad actors not to mention bad single performances.

Agreed, but honestly you get whats advertised when you watch a Seagal movie, when I paid good money for my daughter and I to watch that first Anakin Skywalker (as a teenager) movie .......I figured that I'd be seeing a class action lawsuit against Lucas films LOL...what a stinker.

Eric 951 08-04-2011 06:08 AM

I thought Nic Cage was good in "Lord of War"

Hayden Christensen--crap, same with Natalie Portman from the SW "prequels", just terrible.

Shai LeBouf terrible

On the flip side I always liked Tom Sizemore as an actor--(Heat, Saving Private Ryan, Point Break, even Striking Distance) he really blew his talent.

azasadny 08-04-2011 06:13 AM

Steven Segal

126coupe 08-04-2011 06:37 AM

Ben Affleck sucks except "Good Will Hunting"

Ok - my list:
Nic Cage - espcially in Con Air. <-- that was a terrible movie.
Owen Wilson - wish he'd get over himself.
Ben Stiller annoys the crap outta me.
Will Ferrel - If I were in grade school, I guess I'd appreciate his comedic value.
Jack Black - I suspect if he weren't high on drugs all the time, maybe then -- nah - nevermind...
Eddie Murphy -- you can only take the Beverly Hills Cop persona so far...

Some comments on some other actors mentioned:

Keanu Reeves: He was actually very good in Point Break - one of my favorite movies. But Patrick Swayze really carried that moive. He was decent in the first Matrix -- but his persona really fits that "Whoa - I'm Alice in Wonderland" theme. ;)
I think Dracula was a great movie - but Coppa did such a fantastic job with the imagery and there were some fantastic actors in the movie (Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins), that they somehow managed to overshadow Keanu's lack of acting ability.

Steven Seagal - may not be the best actor, but at least he studied the martial arts. IIRC, he has a black bet. (Not like Van Damme...)

-Z-man.

He is something like a 7th dan black belt. I believe he is a very talented martial artist, just not actor. Plays guitar too. I still watch his movies for what they are, not expecting a great performance but rather some great martial arts action.

tcar 08-04-2011 08:21 AM

Hands down absolute WORST...

GLEN CAMPBELL in the original 'True Grit' with The Duke...

Un-effing-believably horrible, terrible...

I just re-watched it after seeing the new one.

NO ONE IS WORSE THAN GLEN CAMPBELL, anywhere, anytime.

There.

tabs 08-04-2011 08:47 AM

Costner..is wooden
Keanu...ehhh
Seagal...won't watch him, will turn off TV first
Norris...won't watch..
Stiller..talentless, Mommy & Daddy got him in the biz
Wilson Owen...sacrine sweet...YECH
Will Ferell..Insipidly Inane except when he does GW
Cage..What does anybody see in him.
Eddie Murphy..limited range
Jim Carey...thinks he is funny
Brendan Fraiser..cute little boy
Dane Cook..WHO?
Sylvester Stallone..He was punched in the head one too many times.

At least when you see Arhnold you know it is a quality flick..

DARISC 08-04-2011 08:54 AM

John Wayne, Ronald Reagan

scottmandue 08-04-2011 08:56 AM

I kinda liked Keanu in the Matrix movies...

Jim Carey & Eddie Murphy... Famous for acting like themselves... I don't blame them, if someone wanted to pay me millions to not act I would take it.

Stiller & Ferell... filling the great comedy void of the 90's with SNL mediocrity.

Vandamme has been practicing karate since he was ten. His father owned a karateschool. He is a black belt and has been fairly succesful in international competitions and even made it to European karate champion in 1979.
Most of his movies suck (well, actually all of them except one). The biofilm JCVD is proof that he does know how to act.

MattKellett 08-04-2011 09:19 AM

Harrison "wooden" Ford

Mike Andrew 08-04-2011 09:23 AM

David Caruso - One Look Pony. Big head that didn't get him many movies when he left his first series as he was too talented for television.

slw911SC 08-04-2011 09:25 AM

Pauly Shore. What an idiot.

John Wayne could act normal when actors didn't do that. They were all trying to "act." This would be the case for Steve McQueen as well. He couldn't act his way out of a paper bag, but by being normal on the screen and exuding uber  he was very good.

There are very few excellent actors IMHO. Lots of good characters, but they couldn't change over to another totally different character like the greats can. Like Brian Dennehy. Can he be anything but an ultimate villain?http://www.indielondon.co.uk/img/brian_dennehy2.gif

Can David Spade do anything but be a fool?
http://www.hollywoodteenmovies.com/M...umJoeDirt2.jpg

Can Sylvester Stallone do anything but sweat?
