How they still do not seem to install the parking sensors invisibly, is beyond me.
they look like a row of zits on the bumper.

I wonder if using lasers to cut carbon fiber cloth in lieu of water jets is for marketing or other reasons.

With a laser the ends get damaged, which is why commercial/military hovercraft skirts are cut with high pressure water slurry.

I think the laser was for marking out only. I agree it wouldn't make sense to cut carbon fibre cloth with a laser.

You are right, a laser trace line, but still those cutting tools are brutal on the CF weave.

The .014” (CL2) to .060” (CL6) thick laminates can be used to reinforce areas where higher loads are expected. The uni-directional laminates in widths from 1/4” through 1” have been Water Jet Cut to offer a smooth edge and a dimensionally accurate laminate.

Saw a doc. on that on my last flight to Zurich. A few things I learned:

1. The wheels are made by Alcoa in Ohio!

2. There is no in-house painting facilty, all the body's are shipped 300 km away to a separate factory to be sprayed.

3. There is a saying," If you watch sausage being made you will naver want sausage."
This does not apply to Lamborghini's!

I've been in plenty of auto plant including Benz and BMW but this is something from a different galaxy! Looks like a microchip fab line!
