My wife helped cause a fender bender...
but probably not what you think.
While going out to dinner last night, my wife shared a short story with me about an accident she witnessed in a parking lot earlier this week. This was the first time she had brought it up and I got a chuckle out of it. She and a girlfriend went shopping one afternoon last week. They were walking through the mall parking lot and my wife happened to notice a guy driving a mini-van across the way. My wife was looking over and noticed that the guy was looking in their direction. Now both she and her friend are good looking girls, so I don't doubt he wasn't watching them walk across the lot. But my wife also noticed another vehicle driving across the lot in front of the minivan. Well, you guessed it, the minivan plows right into the other vehicle! I joked with my wife that the guy probably noticed her looking at him and was distracted, but she claims she had on her sunglasses so the driver wouldn't have been able to tell she was watching him. I just thought it was kind of funny (but then again, I wasn't the guy that wrecked the vehicle.)

I can remember being a teenager , cruising through the local park , with my friend driving his little dodge colt. We were all watching a smokin' hot young girl jogging, when next thing you know, we feel impact, and we are upside down, on the roof. He was not even watching the road, and we hit a large triangular barrier right in the middle of the road. No one was hurt except we all spilled our milkshakes all over ourselves. Flipped the car back over, and off we went, no broken glass even.

Nevermind the car, did you ask the girl out?
Look at me, I can turn a whole car over. Oh wait, it was a Dodge Colt......

Even at my advanced age, I catch myself looking at females instead of paying attention. Guess I've been lucky so far.

Back in high school, I was cruising up the main drag in our town as a passenger in a friend's Saab 99. The windows were down and the stereo was cranked. A car pulled up beside us on the right and the driver looked left to show us his best scowl of displeasure. Well, traffic in his lane stopped, but he didn't. Crunch! It was a minor accident, but there was definitely damage to both cars. I always wondered how he explained that one to the cops when they arrived.
