Ultimate mancave tables!

Check these out. No clue what they would cost, but those BD #3 cams on the bottom of the second one are about $70/ea

As a mechanical guy, those Harbor Freight ratchet straps, hardware store turnbuckles and threaded rod scream cheap to me.... just saying.

sc_rufctr 08-28-2011 04:37 PM

Manly... ;)

porsche4life 08-28-2011 04:39 PM

Not everyone can manufacture their own parts tim.... ;)

Danimal16 08-28-2011 04:59 PM

The doug fir or pine should be a hardwood. That burned look makes it so 70's. The use of a walnut or maple or other hardwood would make it very interesting.

gr8fl4porsche 08-28-2011 05:54 PM

Yep, have to agree the burned wood didn't work for me at all.

Edited - pic removed. -Z-man.

Having not lived through the 70s I didn't have that thought.... ;)

Tim has a valid point. Even if you can't manufacture your own parts (although some of us can SmileWavy) one could find sources for parts that didn't look so cheap.

If furniture could be rice, well, these tables are rice.

They look kinda busy to me. Overbuilt with stuff. Is half that hardware even necessary? Or is that part of the art?

Neat, but fortunately not my cup of tea as it must be expensive.

Might go over big in Holland; Rijsttafel tafels.

The artist need to learn how to use the table saw. Burn marks from the saw blade only on one side and the other side is sanded clean and smooth. Must be an artists thing?

stealthn 08-28-2011 08:33 PM

Haha I haven't burnt wood like that since I built my own waterbed :D

Got me thinking though, a cantilever table would be cool, hmmm let me get on that.

...or in West Hollywood, depends on which gallery really.

Noah930 08-28-2011 08:42 PM

Not that nekkid chick table. That might not sell so well in WeHo.

Yeah, they could be hyped as next gen Steam Punk gone all sophisticated like. Erecto Punk?

They actually could stand on their own as sculpture if the maker chose to present them as such.
