Im currently sitting at MCO (Orlando). Im flying to Hamburg Germany....then a few hr drive on the autobahn...and then spending a few days making laps around the Nurburgring

I'm a long time member, who doesnt post alot, but reads the boards here everyday. I just finally had something to post about

Sound awesome. I'd love to do that as well. Just a small comment, I think you meant "Nurburgring", not Nuremburg. One us a famous racetrack, and one is the site of the nazi war crimes trials.

Last time I was on the 'Ring, the guy right in front of me crashed. So do be careful, please. Don't let that be you. (It would be easy to do, as this is an interesting and challenging place that seems to invite the red mist.)

I plan on it, my buddy im going with is pretty experienced and even has a car he keeps in germany for it (He lives in Denmark). He warned me that last year he spun out, went across some grass,and hit a guardrail.

He got a nice bill for almost 5k....... just for the grass and guardrail.

You can run around Nuremberg and do running laps on foot...Not sure if that would be on anyone's bucket list though.

Have fun, its a wonderful time to do this.

One small issue is that this time of year is "vacation time" in Europe, so lots of people on the autobahn. You will learn the word "stau" or traffic jam and start slowing down well in advance. Stay out of the left land unless passing...

Good advice - On the Autobahn and you see jammed traffic ahead, take the next exit, use a GPS and run the back roads thru the little towns. Much more relaxing......Have fun, waiting for your pic's.....

I have posted this before, but if you do decide to do the Ring in a rental, check out Sixt Car Rentals. This is a large German car rental company with the hottest cars of any large rental company. Last time I did the Ring it was in a rented Audi S6.

Sadly, it's very wet in Germany at the moment.

I'm leaving for Germany tomorrow. Renting a Scirocco Cup at Rent Race Car am Nürburgring, Auto mieten und auf der Nordschleife bei Touristenfahrten und Trackdays selber fahren, Rennwagenvermietung am Ring, Race Car Rental an der Nordschleife in Nürburg, Rent Swift 4 Ring und mehr bei Rent Race Car on saturday, all inclusive and lapping the Ring all day.

I checked out the website you rented from. I think I might do the same one day.
