Iv thought about this aswell. Im not a boat person but if i were id build one for sure. Also you cant really go by hp because of the slow rpm. Torque is what counts. Sitting down you get alot less but standing up a 150lb person makes something like 80ft/lbs to the crank. It would be nice to retain a gearset aswell for upstream and downstream.
