Quick update.
I have not only reached my goal of selling 80 tickets but managed to sell about 140 in total. Hello SHOT show 2012! The club managed to sell almost all the tickets at this point (about 150 left) The drawing is on Dec 8 and I will update here who the lucky winner/s was.

Will get the pictures up later today. The drawing was yesterday at 1pm. The grand prize winner was Johnny Williamson, one of the second year gunsmithing students. He was really excited! The second prize went to Jackie Miller from Burlington NC. The president of the gunsmithing club sold her the ticket. The 3rd prize went to David Wells who, I believe, is one of the regional Friends of NRA members. Our senior instructor sold the ticket. At final count there were only 100 unsold tickets. Thank you to everyone that participated. You helped me make my goal of selling 80 tickets and not having to pay my own way to SHOT show 2012. The money we raised will also help to purchase supplies and tools for our program.

You need a connection to get in. I don't think they sell tix to the gen. public. If you're friendly with your local gun dealer, he might hook you up. The organizer of SHOT is a client and good friend of mine, so I'm always in from now on. I might make the trip again in Jan. But NAMM takes top priority.
