My 85 911 is the most comfortable long distance cruiser I've ever had ....maybe that's more of a statement about me, LOL. 911's manage to combine very good performance, comfort and drivers connection with the road in ways very few other cars have matched. I know I'm preaching mostly to the choir, but felt I had to put my bit in. Cheers

Same here. I have made many long trips in my 85 Carrera. I can tell you that I-40 west to Flagsaff AZ. just a few miles south down I-17 to Munds Park it is 911 miles from my house. And going east to Marysville TN. is 914 miles. I have done both trips in a day. I could go further but I was at my destination for that day.

I am a car guy... I love cars... been to dozens maybe hundreds of cars shows... I have drawers full of pictures taken at those show.

(BTW you guys who missed the show at the Portland Art Museum really blew it!)

But at the end of the day it is just a machine.... sorry... a bucket of bolts that can be stolen or destroyed in an accident in a matter of seconds.

You are not you car.

Or your house... or the cloths you wear...

I guess it is a Zen thing... either you get it or not.

Carry on.

I'm sorry to say this, but you have a really poor understanding of Zen. :D

Pretty really simple Zen message, really...to identify yourself or others with "stuff" is not wise.

Everyone has an aesthetic view.

Some are simply uglier than others.

Zen is just Taoism in drag.

I wanted to say it is a Christian thing but didn't want to drag this into PARF
:p

And I read the motocycle book!
