Great day for me! Im on cloud nine!
Got home, picked up the mail. Got a letter saying that I was chosen to be on the NJ state USAR team ( Urban Search and Rescue). My mind is totally blown!
Last month I went for an interview, test and skills evaluation. Very tough, but did pretty good on it otherwise. It's a pretty elite group. These guys( and gals) are the best in their field. About 30 something people tried out for it that day and they told us there was only six openings. Never in a million yrs did I think I would be picked. Figured I would get a call stating I didnt meet the qualifications. or we have everyone we need already. Sorry. I'm still in total shock, but I cant get the smile off my face.

Congratulations. It is nice to hear that some sunshine comes to some lives that are deserving of it. With all the bad news we hear all the time it is great to hear good news once in a while.
