This is the house that I bought this month. It was built in 1963 and we're the second owner. I was planning on building a home but the lot that I found I didn't like. It's on a raised foundation but is only 2" above the ground level. It will be easy for Joanna to get in and out of. Cool things that this house has is a great view of the sunsets and a large for So Cal lot of 18,000. Bennington, VT.....yes I agree and I would love to know why the owners let it go or why Bennington has not tried to restore it.

I had a cousin who converted an old barn on his fathers farm into a house. Wide open floor plan. Master bedroom as on first floor. It looked something like this. Just not as nice.

^^I really like it, looks rustic. But nicely detailed trimwork and windows, the natural pole centers it nicely. Not sure about the open loft. The color and warmth of the natural finish is pleasing to me.
