Is there a cool SUV?
 

I heard a radio ad this morning in which they listed things that don't exist in real life. One of them was a "cool SUV". I was driving my Westy and thought, "Isn't this a cool SUV?"

So what does the brain trust here think? I know it's cool, but is a westfalia an SUV?

Nothing new is cool IMHO. Modern SUV's are amazing vehicles and I love 'em. They just aren't hip anymore.

Old FJ's, Broncos, D-90's, Westy's, Land Cruisers, 4Runners, etc. are.

It makes no sense but I don't make the cool rules.

Any decent Jeep Wrangler works in my book. An older Rubicon will run rings around most of the "mall crawler" SUVs

Just recently had a ride in one of those jeep srt 8 Grand Cherokee's. Although, not really my bag of tea, I would consider this a somewhat cool suv. It was pretty quick, and made all the right noises.
