Coil Spring Lifespan
What is the typical lifespan of a coil spring. I've got a 98 accord with 165k miles and I want to replace the shocks. Should I replace the springs as well?
Monroe sells the a quick strut assembly for $100 per corner which seems like a good deal... Thx for your input! ![]()

I was going to recommend the quick strut, can't go wrong and much easier to do since you don't have to compress the old one yadda yadda yadda

The rear springs on my 914 became very weak after 10 years and 120,000 miles.
![]() Once I replaced the springs the tires stayed on the ground.
